Our humble mission is to help these kids and my friend, Tina. My daughter, Francesca and my niece, Pam, met them last summer and they were touched by their story and their passion for school and getting an education. They pledged to help them as much as they can. We called our humble mission, PROJECT PEARLS. PEARLS stands for Peace, Education, Aspiration, Respect, Love, Smile - these are the intangible things that we would love for them to have... these are simple words and yet with profound meaning. Francesca, Pam, myself and their cousins are making bracelets out of cultured freshwater pearls that we will be selling to family and friends. All proceeds will go to fund Desiree and Luz' educational needs. And if we are successful enough, we would also like to support the educational needs of our farm caretaker's 8 young children!
